Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons

Welcome again lovely blog universe, I said I'd be back sooner and I did want to get this done and up last weekend but alas, I was sick so here we are with some bonus looks as a positive. Today I wanted to talk about the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette, I've been eyeing up Too Faced makeup a lot lately, and this palette in particular caught my eye as soon as it was release in December of 2015.

The first thing that always caught my attention from Too Faced in general was the packaging. As a lover of cute things, adding any of their products to my life is a win/win of great products that look great on my vanity. The Bon Bons palette is no exception to this, even the outer packaging is so cute I admittingly am still holding on to it.
What really won me over onto Bon Bons over the other Chocolate bar palette's from Too Faced is while this, and the others in the line, are fairly neutral everyday colors the pops in Bon Bons are my kind of colors. With 3 pinks (yesssss, I needed some pink shadows to work into my looks) and the gorgeous purple and blue I knew this was a palette I would get great use out of even for work days. (Sad news about promotion is I have to be a little less creative with my makeup but overall the new job is definitely worth it. I'll talk more on this in whenever I get to a real about me post)
Most of the colors swatched on fingers.
Swatches without primer
Seriously look at these colors, so lovely, and while Too Faced is known to have shadows that are better with a primer even without you can get a pretty darn good look. Speaking of primers though I would recommend using a traditional type primer, as I used both that and NYX's Milk shadow stick and I did notice a good bit of creasing with my shadows, though that was a day I kept them on for around 12 hours. Yes all my makeup gets tested that hard, retail is a long hard job as the holidays roll closer.
Names of Shadows on back of packaging. Just a good reference since my images below will reference these names.
Now the good stuff, the looks I made with these shadows for the last 2ish weeks. Granted I did not do my makeup everyday, let alone eye shadow each day I did, so these are all the looks I have done since I bought it. I'll post my overall thoughts after all these looks so skip down if you want to see what I thought without too much more effort. (also look at me doing winged eyeliner, you are seeing my first successful attempts at it!)

Cotton Candy on lid, Bordeaux and Mocha outer third  and in crease, Almond Truffle as transition shade and Satin Sheet as highlights.
So what did I think about the Chocolate Bon Bons? Well with the delicious smell of chocolate that wakes me up each morning, and beautiful shades that are workable for everyday but still fairly unique (the pops of color and Almond Truffle being my personal favorites, Almond Truffle is perfect for you fair girls looking for an excellent transition color if you didn't notice I used it everyday). Add in that these practically blend themselves, even the mattes, and they can last from 10 AM to 10 PM no problem, I would say if you have been looking to pick up a solid palette or dip your toes into Too Faced grab this when you can. If you have a ton of neutral palettes (granted I do, Naked addict right here) you may not find you need this, but I do think with Naked 1-3 I am lacking shades light enough and matte to get more natural looks as a very fair person, so perhaps take a look and see if this might be what you are missing in your collection. Well that's all I've got to say for now, I am not sure what I'll be posting about next but again excpect it within the next two Saturdays
